GOBLET OF JOY

This is a tale of a sun kissed kingdom in ancient Persia, a tale woven with despair and an unexpected delight.

It was a time of opulence and splendor, ruled by the legendary King Jamshed, a sovereign both revered and feared. His court was filled with vibrant harem ladies, each vying for his attention, but one stood out—Shahrzad, known for her beauty , delicate like the white jasmine flowers, she was an epitome abundant grace and elegance . Her beauty was both subtle and striking , evoking feelings of admiration and reverence in the on looker . Her laughter was similar to the tinkling of wind chimes. King Jamshed was totally smitten by her beauty and grace .

However, one fateful day,King Jamshed, angered by a misunderstanding, cast her away from his presence, exiling her from the kingdom. Heart heavy with grief, she wandered through the winding pathways of the palace, her world crumbling around her  under a weight of sorrow. The thought of ending her own life crept upon her.

Driven by despair, she stumbled into the king's warehouse—a place usually reserved for treasures and opulence. Among the forgotten remnants, one jar caught her eye, labeled ominously as “poison.” With a reckless abandon born from hopelessness, she lifted the jar and took a sip of its contents. The liquid was rich and vibrant, remnants of succulent red grapes past their prime. But instead of bitterness, she tasted a sweetness that warmed her soul, a spark igniting in her heart where darkness had recently settled giving her a heady fervour .

With every sip, her spirits soared, and she felt elated . She reveled in her discovery and eagerly raced back to the palace to share her miracle with the king. When she presented the enchanting drink to King Jamshed, he was spellbound. The sweet elixir danced on his tongue giving him joy and instantly lifting his mood , leaving him with a euphoric feeling .

Jamshed was so enamoured by this mystery potion  and in his state of euphoria , he welcomed Shahrzad back into his harem with open arms, their bond rekindled, stronger than before. The king, inspired by the extraordinary beverage, proclaimed that all grapes within the fertile lands of the kingdom would henceforth be dedicated to the art of winemaking.

Thus, the kingdom flourished not only with the bounty of vineyards but also with the spirit of laughter and festivity. Banquets became celebrations of life itself, and the joy that red wine brought turned the feelings  of despair into happiness . King Jamshed named this magic potion as “ Meh”. The legacy of Shahrzad and her goblet of  red wine became a testament to resilience—a timeless reminder that from the depths of sorrow could spring the sweetest of joys, binding hearts together through the shared love of a simple goblet of red wine - a goblet of joy .
